Study Results

A study in 2014 found that CBD could have antidepressant effects and anti-anxiety effects but these effects could be dependent on a person’s serotonin levels. Another study in 2018, found that CBD could have anti-stress effects; stress has often been attributed to anxiety as well as depression.
